Want to Know How to Start a Business?

There's a reason why you have been looking for information on How To Start A Business. Maybe there's an idea you've been kicking around for a while. It could be anything from running a corner shop or setting up a small community enterprise with a friend - to spotting a brand new business opportunity with a product or service no-one else is providing. You can!

The very first step towards starting your own business needs to start with you. You and your business are intertwined. Your business reflects you and your personality, skills and approach to life; your own personal objectives drive your business objectives. For success you need to be confident, focused, hardworking...all those attributes of entrepreneurs that you read about.

But you can't just jump right in and launch any old business. The market these days are so saturated with everyone trying to make some extra money. Redundancies being made left, right and centre, so people are using their skills to set up small businesses and offer their service to the targeted market which means that competition is going to be fierce and there is not much room for error.

More and more entrepreneurs are being born out of necessity and not out of choice. Petrol prices are going up, food is going up, everything just seems to be increasing yet our salaries are staying the same. So we are now pushed into making it on our own, calling out own shots and putting 110% effort into making our lives successful.
To make it out there in the business world you need to understand that when it comes to starting a business, the starting line is you! No matter what resources, products, services your business has, without you it doesn't exist. You can't win a race if you don't compete; you can't win the lottery without a ticket; you can't make an omelette without breaking eggs; just like you can't have a business without you.
You are the starting point for anything in your business - whatever your stage of business, whether you are starting, growing or diversifying. The starting point will always be you. So let's look at what you is and just exactly what you do bring to your business.

You and your personality are made up of your good points and your bad points. For your business to succeed, you need to make the most of your good points: your strengths; and minimise the effects of your bad points: your weaknesses. So you need to recognise what these good and bad points are. You need to develop your self-awareness; identify your good and your bad points so you can make the most of the good and develop coping strategies for the bad. You need to brutally honest with yourself. Be brave and find out how others see you.
How you see yourself may be wildly different from how others see you. If you want to be successful in life and in business, it's important to get to know yourself intimately and why you behave particular ways in particular situations and with particular people. Only then can you make any changes that you need to succeed. You may be blissfully unaware that people see you as 'airy' and disorganised, when perhaps you just have so much going on that you don't take the time with people or you're always late for meeting friends or you show up on the wrong day. Perhaps you can't say no to requests from friends and then when the time comes you have to invent an excuse not to do something.

We all have underlying assumptions and values that affect our behaviour and those around us. We all respond to the expectations of others: our parents, society, and our friends. We all have roles in life, which dictate our behaviours too. You need to take responsibility for yourself; it's up to you what you do, don't be driven by what others expect or think you should do.

Take a close look at some of your behaviours and especially recurring patterns of behaviours. If you do not organise your time well and are always late for meetings then you'll find that business people won't give you the second or third chances that your friends and family might. You will have to learn to plan your time better, perhaps you always underestimate the time that it takes you to travel somewhere, and never allow any time for train or road delays.

In the business world you need to be very careful. Or perhaps you perceive yourself as more important and that your time is more valuable that theirs, so it doesn't matter if you keep other people waiting. This is a really bad habit to have acquired, and you need to get rid of it because you are definitely not going to cut it in the business world if you have an attitude like that!

We all experience different challenges, behaviours and circumstances in our life so it is important to be aware of these challenges and rectify them (as much as we can) before we even embark on our enterprise journey.
It's tricky running your own business and balancing it with your personal and family life and coping with the ups and downs of life and business. You are bound to get knock-backs, failures and disappointments; it's the cold harsh reality of business. The secret to success is not to let them get you down. Try to bounce back and learn from mistakes - you need to be able to develop a positive approach to your failures, and overcome the myths and fears you may have about the business world. Only then are you ready to tackle your business plan and get your business up and running successfully.

Remember, if you believe you have no confidence, you'll find reasons to prove it!

Pre-fab metal building kits are considered revolutionary in the construction industry. It may be hard to believe but all sorts of structures can be built out of pre-fabricated steel such as stand-alone shops, factories, recreational facilities, churches, agricultural storage unites, and even military units. Pre-fabricated building kits also come in wood and synthetic materials but steel is still the better choice because of its resistance to fire, durability, and low-cost. These steel building packages are available in different sizes and types, depending on what the structure is for.
Churches can be built out of steel building packages to save time and money. The church can save up to 50% costs with pre-fab metal building kits. The church community grows rapidly so it needs a long-lasting structure. Since churches are normally big, the metal parts must be placed securely to avoid collapsing. Insulation properties are also important because the huge church-going crowd will definitely generate a lot of heat inside. Churches need a large expanse to accommodate all the congregation members, as well as small spaces for specific activities. The expenses can go to more worthwhile causes, such as church activities.
Another building that can be constructed out of pre-fab metal building kits is the gymnasium. A gymnasium typically has a high-clearance. The kit should have a lot of beams to support the ceiling, especially because gymnasiums don't have columns. Materials should be weather-tight to protect athletes from harsh weather conditions, especially during winter.
Pre-fabricated metal building kits are also used at home, usually in building the garage and storage area. Garages can be built with panelized metal stud framing because unlike wood framing, they do not promote the growth of mold. They are also resistant to termites and other insects. The vehicle and tools will surely be protected in a metal garage.
Even the military and government facilities use these types of kits. Steel building packages are easy to use both at home and in public facilities because they come with a comprehensive construction manual and drawing. If anything goes wrong with the building, the manufacturer provides customers with a 25-50 year warranty and accessible customer service. Even if workers are hired to assemble it, the costs will come out lower because pre-formed metals already save them from the cutting, shaping, and drilling. It's difficult to go wrong with pre-fab metal building kits because its environment-friendly, cost-saving, and user-friendly.

When Is Our Next Treat - Domesticated Humans and Populist Presidents In America

Well, once a socialist president gets into power regardless of the country, the chances of getting rid of him are quite difficult. Worse, in the case of the US, whoever his vice president is also has a chance of becoming president, simply by following the promises of his predecessor. Any time a socialist populist left leaning podium pushing politician wishes to get reelected, all he or she has to do is offer a treat to the domesticated human voter that he or she has created. Okay so, let's talk about this for second shall we?
If you want your dog to behave or follow your wishes, you can always provide them with a treat. What's the difference? I would submit to you that philosophically there is no difference, and politicians have learned to use doggie treats to keep themselves in power. Also the mindless masses are happy to get lazy and fat eating all those three treats which have been offered. In fact, the American voter seems to be willing to roll over and do tricks, and look the other way any time the politician makes a mistake.
After all, as long as they get free stuff, free treats, they are likely to continue to vote for said politician, as everyone wants a free stimulus package, just like domesticated animals like attention, and love to be petted. So, a socialist leader first promises the people that he or she will give them whatever they want. Once elected they try to figure out a way to deliver at least some of what they promised, explaining to the people that more will come later, as long as you keep me in power.
While doing this the politician continually blames the other party, and their political adversaries from preventing them from giving the people what they promised, and therefore it's not their fault. It's an interesting game, and it's been played over and over again, what I don't understand is why humans are so ignorant not to see that Santa Claus doesn't really exist. Nevertheless, it is amazing how easy it is to domesticat animals by giving them food, or food stamps, and other various treats.
It is also fascinating how helpless they become so quickly once they no longer have to think for themselves, and realize that all of their needs will be taken care of by merely wagging her tail, and voting for their master who promises to continue the flow of those treats. Congratulations America you've been domesticated by a socialist populist president, and you have bought it hook, line, and sinker. How does that make you feel? Please consider all this and think on it.

Facebook - Really, I Know What a Face Is, But What the Hell Is a Book?

Well, as an author of books, and electronic books, and as a lifelong book lover with a rather large personal library I find it interesting that one of the largest companies on the Internet, Facebook, has the name Face and Book in it. That really makes no sense if you think about it. Okay so, let's talk about this for a moment.
Most corporations adjust their business model and branding identity, along with their logos from time to time. It makes sense to do this to stay up with the times, however in the Internet world things move so fast that sometimes that is not always possible. Nevertheless, at this point Facebook really needs to change their name, don't they? But they aren't, instead they are entrenching themselves, and trying to protect their brand name by suing anyone who puts the name of anything before the word book.
Unfortunately, there are some case precedents for this, and Facebook is so well known, and there are people who are attempting to infringe upon their brand, or use that brand identity to help increase the popularity of some new company, riding on the coattails of Facebook's global reputation now.
There was an interesting article on Read Write Web on March 29, 2012 titled; "Banned on Facebook: Facing, Booking and Poking," by Dave Copeland. The article was decent but really, I'd like you to consider the title for a moment, as it brought up yet another thought today for me. You see, the "paper book" as we've historically known it is completely dead, well almost, and it has been replaced by the eBook. Now then, shouldn't Facebook be called; "FaceE-book" instead? I mean their current name is "so 30-seconds ago!"
Anyway the article stated; "Facebook is trying to protect its trademarks and wants to curb the use of "book" as a verb for connecting with friends on Facebook, but Polito is worried his page may be targeted as violating the new terms. "For Facebook to tell me that I can't use the word 'book' - as in 'check out my new book,' which is something I'm posting all the time - is just plain ridiculous," Polito said. "I can't tell you how many writers I know who use Facebook to promote their books."
Some might say that Facebook should probably change its name, or within the next 5 to 10 years it will be considered a dinosaur because it is using an old term which is no longer used in our language, or very little in our society. Luckily for Facebook, the physical "book" isn't dead quite yet, so Facebook still has some time before they need to go through major rebranding, and contact someone like me who knows what they're doing, so they don't destroy all that they created.
No, I'm not interested in the job, nor would I ever wish to have a page on Facebook, I think it's childish, and silly, but that's just my opinion. Further, it would take a lot more branding to ever get me interested. Please consider all this and think it.

Choosing a Power Supply for Your LED Strip Lights

If you are buying LED Strip Lights don't forget your power supply. LED Strip Lights rely on a peripheral unit called a power supply, also referred to as a transformer or driver, which is needed to make them work.

Power supplies come in many shapes and sizes, ranging from very basic 'plug and play' units to commercial style transformers which can be hardwired into your mains supply. You will also hear these power supplies referred to as 'transformers.' This is because as well as powering the LED Strip Lights these units are designed to 'transform' the mains 230V AC to a low voltage 12V DC therefore making the supply applicable to the strip lights.

There are a few considerations you need to make when it comes to selecting the type of power supply you need.

Firstly, do you want to be able to plug into a wall socket, or are you planning to hardwire your LED Strip Lights into a light switch?

If the answer to the former question is 'yes' then you will require a standard 'plug and play' driver. This is the most basic supply available and allows quick and easy setup for standard domestic applications via a wall plug power source. The entire unit consists of a black transformer, a kettle-lead with a standard UK mains 3-prong plug and a 12V male connector which attaches to the LED Strip via a corresponding female connector. The entire unit closely resembles a lap top charger and is about 2 metres in length.

For more complex applications or where there is no wall plug available an alternative mains power supply is available. Instead of a kettle lead these supplies feature a length of mains wire which can be wired directly up to the mains supply.

In addition to choosing the type of power supply, you will also need to determine the size of it. These supplies come in varying sizes, ranging anywhere from a low 20watts to many times this figure. These figures described the maximum 'load' that the supply can manage. The 'load' of your LED Strip Lights is calculated by taking the wattage per metre and multiplying it by the number of metres you are using. For example, if the wattage per metre is 7.2W and you are using 10 metres, then the complete load is 72watts. It is important to make sure that this load does not exceed the maximum load on your supply, otherwise you will experience performance issues with your strip lights, such as voltage drop, and reduce the life span of your lights.
