Lagos is an improving economy to visit

Nigeria's population is made up of about 200 ethnic groups, 500 indigenous languages, and two major religions ― Islam and Christianity. The largest ethnic groups are the Hausa-Fulani in the North, the Igbo in the Southeast, and the Yoruba in the Southwest. The fragmentation of Nigeria's geographical, ethnic and cultural identity lines is effectively balanced by the country's federal structure and the strong emphasis of the federal government on representing six geopolitical zones and different ethnic and cultural identities. Though the Nigeria's socio-political environment is fairly stable, there are pockets of instability in various parts of the country. But with the good governance all such ailments are very well tackled by the administration. Tourists like this place for many reasons and pay frequent visits to Lagos to enjoy their holidays.

The Lagos Metropolitan Development and Governance Project for Nigeria aims to increase sustainable access to basic urban services through investments in critical infrastructure. There are three project components. Component 1, Upgrading Component, will build the capacity of the Lagos State Urban Renewal Authority (LASURA) to assess, develop, plan and coordinate the execution of a city-wide upgrading program, through the execution of the upgrading subprojects in nine of the largest slums identified in 1995: Agege, Ajegunle, Amukoko, Badia, Iwaya, Makoko, Ilaje, Bariga, Ijeshatedo/Itire. Its two sub-components will develop a long-term technical solution to flooding, and unbundle solid waste activities to segregate collection, transfer, and disposal activities, and initiate private sector participation in transfer and disposal activities. Component 2, Public Governance and Capacity Building, supports public finance and budget reforms, and the institutionalization of the use of information systems for policy making and performance management. Component 3 finances monitoring and evaluation., knowledge management and strengthening metropolitan policy dialogue, communications, and operating costs.
