The chapter about life is my favorite one from Stefano Biavaschi's book "The prophet and the wind" because it really shows Stefano's true character and concern with human life. Stefano has been advising young students about their lives and prevention because he has graduated in religious studies. He has also graduated in religious studies and this makes his character a kind one towards humans. He has done many other things in his life including the thirty years that he has spent in writing articles in different national magazines. Coming to the point, Stefano has done a great job in writing the chapter about life. The first line that I loved in the chapter was "And also when you say: our children take up a lot of our time, ask yourself if that time could be better spent elsewhere". This is a great advice for the parents and who would have thought that a book named "The prophet and the wind" will be advising parents to deal with their children. Being an old reader of Stefano's work you could have expected that but if you are reading Stefano's written material for the first time, this might be a surprise for you. Another line that is one of my favorite is "Don't give them presents; give yourself to them. Gifts are your alibi for not giving yourself." I would say that you ask your children and they will totally agree with this statement and being parents, you will also support this argument.
Another beautiful line from the same chapter is "Listen to your children when they are adolescents. The greater part of the wall that often separates you during this time of their life was not built with their bricks but with yours." By looking at these few lines that I have quoted, you can see what Stefano is targeting with his writing. You will also notice that he is not afraid to talk about anything that is right however, his words are so pure and true that you will not mind agreeing to something that you haven't agreed to in the past. Without a doubt, Stefano has attained the level as a writer that many other writers from Italy have not.
