Webmaster Outreach Helping You Lure Publishers Into Putting Your Link Into Their Website!

When it comes to SEO, links are one of the most important things of all. When you have great (in terms of both quality and quantity), you can climb up the search engine ladder. It is so important that we try to accomplish lots of things just so we can get the links that we want. In fact, why else are you writing articles for other people, commenting on blogs, creating web 2.0 properties and all the other things that take up most of our day? If not, for these much needed links? What most blog and website owners wish for the most is to get a quality link from highly authoritative sites in their niche. The difficult part is, how can they be able to achieve this?

For this, they need to do Webmaster Outreach. For those who are not familiar with it, it is the process of keeping in touch and talking with the publishers of highly authoritative sites and persuading them to put a link to your site in their site. It might sound so easy yet I must warn you, it is probably the most time consuming link building strategy that you will ever try to do.

However, there are some steps you should try doing to make the process a lot more bearable:

Step #1: Look for sites that are perfect for you to link to.

This can be done in few steps. First of all, you must make a search using the keyword you would want to rank for. Next up, you will have to disregard all your competitor sites form the list. This is obvious. Your competitor will surely not agree to link back to you and it is possible that you do not want their links too. After that, make a search for categorically relevant sites. For example, your site is all about printers, it is best that you try to consider opting for sites that teaches people how to use printers, the different kinds of printers and many more. Lastly, try to do another search. During this time, do not look for too specific ones.

Step #2: Entice the publisher to post the link to your site.

There are lots of ways on how you can get your link published. These are as follows:

- Create a unique content on your blog. Why would the publisher want your link? Give him a reason to like it! Create a unique content, something that they will not see on any other sites, and post it to your site. Give them something that he cannot get from any other sites.

- Offer to do some guest posting. Regardless of how high the authority of these websites are, they still need to have updated content. Offer to write something for them. In return, you will be allowed to insert your link in their site.

- Call him! Emailing and commenting on a person's blog is a good way to communicate. However, calling him will surely make him impressed. Try to build a personal relationship with him.
